Korba, Chhattisgarh, India – May 2026 — Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) has appointed Rajesh Kumar Singh as Chief Executive Officer & Whole-Time Director (CEO & WTD).
In his new role, Singh will lead BALCO’s operations and strategic priorities, supporting the company’s continued growth, operational excellence, manufacturing capabilities, and contribution to India’s aluminium industry.
Singh brings nearly three decades of experience in the metals and mining sector, with extensive expertise in aluminium manufacturing, smelting operations, metal production, plant leadership, and business operations.
Prior to his appointment as CEO & Whole-Time Director, he served as Chief Executive Officer (Metal) at BALCO. Earlier, he held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Metal), where he supported the leadership of metal operations and business performance initiatives.
Before that, he served as Chief Operating Officer – Metal, overseeing operational performance, production efficiency, and manufacturing excellence across BALCO’s metal business.
A significant part of his career was spent leading BALCO’s smelting operations as Head – Hot Metal, where he played a key role in managing core production functions and operational processes.
Since joining BALCO in 2004, Singh has progressed through multiple leadership positions from Deputy Manager to General Manager, contributing across various operational and manufacturing functions over more than two decades with the organization.
Prior to BALCO, he worked with Hindalco Industries Limited as Assistant Manager, gaining experience in aluminium manufacturing and industrial operations.
He began his professional career with ISPAT Profiles India Limited as an Engineer, building foundational expertise in manufacturing and engineering operations.
Throughout his career, Singh has developed deep experience across aluminium production, metal operations, manufacturing leadership, operational excellence, plant management, industrial operations, and business performance management.
