London, England, United Kingdom, August 2024 – Bob James has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at Velonetic, a pivotal entity in the London Market ecosystem, specializing in the data, technology, and processing of insurance business.
In his new role, Bob will lead the strategic direction of Velonetic, furthering its mission to build a digital-first platform in alignment with Blueprint Two’s objectives.
Bob James brings extensive leadership experience to Velonetic, having most recently served as the Chief Operations Officer at Lloyd’s of London for approximately 1 year and 6 months. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all operational functions and driving transformation initiatives critical to managing the world-renowned Lloyd’s Insurance Marketplace.
Prior to his role at Lloyd’s, Bob was the Executive Vice President at Amynta Group for around 2 years and 3 months, where he played a key role in expanding the group’s presence across multiple regions and strengthening its market position in specialty risk and warranty services.
Earlier in his career, Bob held senior leadership roles at QBE Insurance, where he served as Group Transformation Executive and Group Chief Information Officer & Transformation Executive, focusing on operational excellence and transformative strategies across the global insurance landscape.
