Los Angeles, California, United States, April 2026 — Brian Erhartic has started a new position as Chief Technology Officer at Divergent, marking an important milestone in his technology and manufacturing leadership journey. His appointment reflects deep experience across additive manufacturing, aerospace, spacecraft production, vehicle engineering, and platform development, built over years at some of the most advanced engineering organizations in the industry.
Before taking on this role, Brian Erhartic served at Divergent as Chief Platform Development Officer, where he led development of Divergent’s Adaptive Production System (DAPS), the company’s high-performance design and automated manufacturing platform for advanced vehicle structures. Prior to that, he held the role of VP, Additive Manufacturing Development, focused on next-generation laser powder bed fusion hardware, software, and materials. His progression within Divergent reflects a strong internal leadership journey and growing responsibility across advanced manufacturing innovation.
Earlier, he was associated with Relativity Space, where he held multiple leadership roles including VP, Additive Development, VP, Vehicle Engineering, Sr. Director, Propulsion, and Director, Powder Bed Fusion Additive Manufacturing. These assignments reflect a distinguished phase of leadership across large-scale metallic 3D printing, rocket vehicle engineering, propulsion development, and additive manufacturing capability building.
A significant part of his career was also built at SpaceX, where he held roles including Sr. Director, Dragon Production, Director, Crew Dragon Production, Senior Manager, Falcon Integration Engineering, Manager, Dragon Integration Engineering, and Dragon Manufacturing Engineer. In the earlier phase of his professional journey, he was associated with TE Connectivity as Manufacturing Development Engineer and Rotational Operations Engineer. Together, his experience across Divergent, Relativity Space, SpaceX, and TE Connectivity reflects a long and accomplished leadership journey across aerospace, spacecraft manufacturing, additive systems, and industrial engineering.
With strong expertise across additive manufacturing, automated production systems, aerospace engineering, and industrial-scale hardware development, Brian Erhartic brings a distinguished and well-rounded profile to his new role. His appointment as Chief Technology Officer is expected to support Divergent as it continues to advance its end-to-end software-hardware production system for automotive, aerospace, and defense applications.
