Boise State University is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Ray as the new Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer. Starting his role in April 2024, Ray brings over 14 years of comprehensive experience in human resources management and workforce planning to the university, an institution renowned for its diverse academic offerings and innovation.
Prior to joining Boise State University, Brian Ray was the Director of Human Resources at Terry Reilly Health Services for nearly five years. In this capacity, he was instrumental in leading all HR functions, developing organizational growth strategies, and enhancing employee engagement initiatives across various service platforms. His efforts were pivotal in driving the retention and satisfaction of top-tier talent through comprehensive workforce planning and effective implementation of recognition and culture initiatives.
Before his tenure at Terry Reilly Health Services, Ray served as a Talent Acquisition Supervisor at St. Luke’s Health System for over a year, where he managed talent acquisition operations and strategies that supported the health system’s expansive growth. He was responsible for optimizing recruitment processes and implementing strategic partnerships across the system’s departments, focusing on areas such as IT, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
Earlier in his career, Ray held the position of Technical Recruiter at Volt Workforce Solutions, where he executed full-cycle recruitment for a variety of industries within the Treasure Valley area. His recruiting expertise contributed to significant improvements in hiring practices and candidate experience.
Ray’s career also includes valuable experience as a Senior Business Solutions Specialist at the Idaho Department of Labor, where he engaged in community and business development, aligning workforce needs with local resources and federal funding opportunities.
