Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Caldic has appointed Smita Shetty as Managing Director, India at Caldic Specialties India Pvt Ltd, marking a significant leadership milestone in her nearly two-decade career across specialty chemicals, food ingredients, life sciences, industrial solutions, marketing, and commercial strategy.
Before this appointment, Smita served as Regional Marketing & Communications Director – APAC at Caldic, where she played a key role in strengthening regional brand engagement and aligning APAC priorities with the company’s global vision.
She has been associated with Connell Caldic for over 15 years, holding several leadership roles including APAC Commercial Digital Manager, Head Core Products – Industrial Solutions & Life Sciences, Marketing Manager – Life Sciences & Industrial Solutions, Business Unit Head – Food & Nutrition, Product Manager – Food Ingredients, and Assistant Product Manager.
Earlier in her career, Smita worked with UniColloids Impex, building strong expertise in B2B food ingredients, business development, product management, supplier partnerships, customer engagement, and market expansion.
