Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Voltas Limited (A Tata Enterprise) has announced that Capt. Praveen Chhetri has taken on a new role as Head – Administration. In his new position, he will lead the company’s pan-India administration and infrastructure strategy, driving seamless business operations, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and procurement initiatives across all Voltas locations in India.
Capt. Praveen brings extensive leadership experience across administration, security management, infrastructure operations, business continuity planning, and enterprise risk management. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for designing and implementing large-scale operational frameworks that strengthen organizational resilience, enhance workplace safety, and support business growth.
Since joining Voltas in 2024, he has served as Head – All India Security & Wellbeing, where he successfully designed and implemented pan-India physical security, access control, and emergency response frameworks aligned with global standards and risk governance. He led several transformative initiatives, including AI-enabled surveillance systems, digital material movement controls, women’s safety programs, and centralized security operations, while also overseeing facilities and security operations across the company’s corporate headquarters, state offices, and manufacturing plants.
Prior to Voltas, Capt. Praveen served as General Manager – Security at Reliance Industries Limited, where he was responsible for protecting high-profile assets, managing event security, and overseeing security protocols for mission-critical environments. He worked closely with law enforcement and intelligence agencies on threat assessments, investigations, and incident response strategies involving high-profile individuals and major events.
Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions with Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd., Cox & Kings Global Services, and Bombay Dyeing, where he led multi-layered security programs, standardized security protocols across multiple geographies, managed critical infrastructure operations, and developed integrated security systems combining technology and manpower. His diverse experience across infrastructure, transportation, hospitality, and corporate environments has equipped him with deep expertise in administration, governance, and operational transformation.
Capt. Praveen’s new appointment reflects Voltas’ continued commitment to strengthening its operational capabilities and building resilient, future-ready infrastructure that supports sustainable growth and business excellence.
