Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2025 – The/Nudge Institute has announced the appointment of Shruti Soumya as Associate Director, Strategy & Operations, People & Culture. In this newly expanded role, Shruti will lead strategic initiatives to strengthen the organization’s people practices, culture-building efforts, and operational alignment with The/Nudge’s mission to alleviate poverty through resilient livelihoods.
Shruti has been associated with The/Nudge Institute for nearly four years, holding critical roles such as Head of Talent Acquisition, where she addressed one of the nonprofit sector’s most challenging problems—creating a scalable, persona-agnostic hiring framework. She built empowered teams and laid down systems that ensured hiring could be sustainably managed without over-reliance on individual capabilities. Earlier, she served as Strategy Manager, focusing on climate and agriculture, driving initiatives aimed at reducing agriculture’s environmental footprint while ensuring income security for smallholder farmers.
Prior to her journey with The/Nudge, Shruti worked with NIVEA India as a Product Manager, where she led business and marketing efforts for the NIVEA MEN brand across the Indian market. Her strategic marketing background also includes over three years with The Kraft Heinz Company, where she played various roles including Brand Manager for Complan (a ₹400 Cr consumer brand) and Area Sales Manager, overseeing urban sales operations.
Earlier in her career, she worked as an Assistant Manager at Godrej & Boyce, where she was responsible for international marketing and business development for the Middle East, handling major clients like Saudi Aramco, Petrofac, and Oman Oil. She also gained industry exposure as a Summer Intern at Procter & Gamble and is an alumna of Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, with a dual specialization in Marketing and Operations.
