London, United Kingdom, October 2024 – Caroline Gems has started her new role as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. In her position, she will be responsible for overseeing HR operations across the UK, aligning HR strategies with the company’s focus on wellness, sustainability, and luxury hospitality. Caroline will ensure the organization continues to foster a thriving work culture, promote employee well-being, and support organizational growth through strategic HR initiatives.
Before joining Six Senses, Caroline was the Assistant Director of Human Resources at The Berkeley and The Emory for over 2 years, where she led HR functions for these prestigious London-based hotels, managing HR policies, recruitment, and employee relations.
Prior to that, Caroline worked as Human Resources Manager at BigShots Golf UK, where she played a pivotal role in scaling the startup from 3 to 70 employees in just a few months, while implementing new HR systems and a comprehensive training program.
She also held the position of Human Resources Officer at The Arts Club, where she managed recruitment cycles, payroll, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
Additionally, Caroline served as Human Resources Officer at The Lanesborough, where she was responsible for overseeing parts of the recruitment cycle, assisting with employee relations, and managing the HR system. She earned the recognition of Employee of the Year during her tenure.
