Cherie Coenen Appointed as Chief People Officer at STEELE BRANDS®

Minneapolis, Minnesota, October 2024 – Cherie Coenen has been named the Chief People Officer at STEELE BRANDS®, a growing portfolio of health and wellness-focused brands. In her new role, Cherie will oversee the human resources strategy for the company, which includes key brands such as CRISP & GREEN® and STALK & SPADE®. She will focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and driving HR initiatives aligned with the company’s rapid expansion.

Prior to joining STEELE BRANDS®, Cherie co-founded Anew Vida, LLC, an integrative health practice she has been running for the past two and a half years. In this role, she helped clients achieve optimal health through personalized programs that addressed diet, environmental factors, and overall well-being. Cherie’s entrepreneurial background and leadership in wellness align perfectly with STEELE BRANDS®’ mission to build brands centered on health and wellness.

Before Anew Vida, Cherie worked as a Senior Human Resources Consultant for two and a half years, providing expert HR support to various organizations. Her projects included process improvements, system implementation, compensation reviews, and training programs. Her ability to create HR strategies that drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement makes her a valuable asset to STEELE BRANDS®.

Cherie also served as Executive Vice President & Partner at Health e(fx) for over two years, where she was instrumental in transitioning the company from a start-up to a mature operating firm. She led HR, compliance, marketing, and communications and played a critical role in transforming the leadership team, improving culture, and increasing employee engagement. Under her leadership, the company earned a Top Workplace award.

Earlier in her career, Cherie held several leadership roles at Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. She served as Director of Human Resources for three years, overseeing HR functions such as talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations. Her efforts contributed to the growth of the company and the development of a strong, engaged workforce.

Cherie has also worked at Regis Corporation, where she spent nearly seven years in various roles, including Employee Engagement Manager and Corporate Recruiting Manager. She implemented HR systems and training programs that improved employee engagement and streamlined HR operations across the company.
