New York, New York, United States, September 2025 — Claire Davis has stepped into the role of Chief Financial Officer at Proteus Fund and Proteus Action League, bringing a wealth of financial leadership expertise to the philanthropic and social justice sectors.
Previously, she was with a national nonprofit where she was responsible for overseeing finance operations for multiple organizational entities, including advocacy and political arms, and supporting hosted initiatives. Her role encompassed broad financial oversight, system migration, compliance, and strategic resource alignment.
Earlier, she worked at an international human rights organization, where she established internal financial systems, managed budgeting and reporting functions, and handled audit and tax processes in support of global initiatives.
Prior to that, she served at a private foundation dedicated to education reform, where she aligned financial operations with social investing principles and facilitated shareholder advocacy and investment strategy.
Her wider professional journey also includes key roles in the nonprofit and cultural sectors—across art and technology institutions, video production for museums, and national galleries—where she contributed to financial management, grant administration, research, and project execution.
