Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines, September 2024 – Cloyd S. has been appointed as the Head of People Group at Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia & Oceania. In this role, he will oversee all human resources functions across the Southeast Asia and Oceania regions, focusing on strategic HR initiatives, talent management, and organizational development.
Career Journey: Cloyd S. brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Most recently, he served as the Head of Human Resources for the Philippines & Guam at AIG for approximately two years. In this role, he was responsible for HR strategy and operations across both regions.
Prior to AIG, he was the Manager of Human Capital Operations at PwC Acceleration Center Manila for about one year, where he managed a team supporting onboarding, HCM systems, employee data management, quality and compliance, and global mobility.
Cloyd also worked as a Consultant – HR Business Partner at TransUnion for around eight months, where he supported various HR business needs. Before that, he was with AIG in multiple HR roles, including HR Manager for about six years and Talent Advisor – Recruitment for approximately four months.
Earlier in his career, Cloyd was the Lead Recruitment Partner at Searchers & Staffers Corporation for over eight years, where he focused on recruitment strategies and talent acquisition. His career began as a Sales & Marketing Manager at Unlimited Solutions Corporation and included roles such as Corporate Solutions Consultant and Merchandiser in earlier positions.
