Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Coca-Cola India Southwest Asia (INSWA) Operating Unit has appointed Desmond Nikhil Dsouza as its new Vice President of Customer & Commercial Leadership (C&CL), effective February 1, 2025. In this role, Desmond will lead the company’s customer and commercial strategies across the region, driving growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence. His extensive experience in sales leadership and strategy positions him to deliver significant value to Coca-Cola’s operations in the INSWA region.
Desmond’s career spans over two decades, marked by his impactful contributions across leading global organizations. At Mondelēz International, he served as Vice President – Sales, India, where he led sales strategy and execution for the India business unit. Previously, as Senior Director – Sales, Desmond focused on enhancing sales operations, customer relationships, and business growth. His tenure at Mondelēz also included strategic leadership roles such as Director – Strategy, India, and Associate Director – Category & Modern Trade, Australia, showcasing his global expertise in retail and category management.
Before joining Mondelēz, Desmond played a pivotal role at Zomato as the Head of Subscription Sales, where he spearheaded subscription programs and optimized customer acquisition models. At PepsiCo, he held various positions, including Head – Distributor Centre of Excellence, India, and Vice President – Unit Operations, where he drove operational excellence, distributor management, and sales transformation over a span of nine years.
Desmond began his professional journey at Infosys Technologies as a Software Engineer, gaining critical skills in problem-solving and systems thinking before transitioning into sales and strategy roles.
