Dublin, Ireland, January 2025 – Colm Hardiman has joined Coinbase Ireland Limited as Chief Information Officer (CIO). With extensive experience in technology governance, financial services, and digital transformation, Colm will lead Coinbase Ireland’s technology strategy, ensuring compliance, resilience, and innovation in the rapidly evolving digital currency and blockchain ecosystem.
Before joining Coinbase, Colm Hardiman spent over six years at Citi, where he held various leadership roles, including Head of Payments Technology, Central Europe and Head of TTS Technology / Head of Technology Governance at Citibank Europe plc. During his tenure, he played a key role in regulatory compliance, technology resilience, and data analytics solutions.
Prior to Citi, he was at Deutsche Bank for over seven years, leading European Equity Trading IT, overseeing the development, delivery, and operations of trading platforms, and managing strategic technology transformation initiatives.
Colm also held leadership positions at Nomura and Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for building and deploying trading systems for various desks, including program trading, cash trading, and systematic trading. His early career includes roles at Compisol Ltd, RWWA, and the retail banking industry, where he specialized in Microsoft and Visual C++ development.
