Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States, March 2026 — Courtney (McGowan) L. has been promoted to Principal HR Partner at Boston Scientific. Based in Marlborough, Massachusetts, she steps into the role after serving as Senior Human Resources Partner, continuing her progression within the organization across HR partnering and employee support responsibilities.
In her career journey at Boston Scientific, Courtney (McGowan) L. has been with the company for over seven years, moving from HR Generalist II to Senior Human Resources Partner, and now to Principal HR Partner. Her work has included contributing to the design and operationalization of an agile HR service delivery model, using agile methodology to support continuous improvement, analyzing intake to identify efficiency opportunities, assessing gaps in current technology to inform future changes, and collaborating cross-functionally to streamline HR workflows.
During her time as HR Generalist II, she supported people leaders across employee relations matters including performance management and coaching, guided employees through leave of absence processes including STD/LTD and FMLA, and managed special projects spanning survey delivery and analysis, compensation analysis, team assimilations, and trainings and presentations. Her contributions also included policy enhancements and communication support, as well as developing a new employee onboarding guide to improve the hiring process and mentoring new and junior team members.
Prior to joining Boston Scientific, she worked as a Career Services Writer and Editor (Independent Contractor) with Talent Inc., supporting professionals with resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, and was associated with Fresh New England as a Community Outreach Advisor and Content Writer (Independent Contractor). She also served as a Graduate Course Facilitator within Boston University’s Graduate Health Communication Program.
Earlier in her career, Courtney (McGowan) L. worked at UC San Diego as Research Ethics Program Coordinator and also as Administrative Specialist, Office of Contract and Grant Administration. She previously served at Babson College as an Administrative Coordinator, and earlier held roles including Whole Body Buyer at Whole Foods Market, along with additional experience across outreach, marketing, and creative internships.
