Indiana, United States, January 2025 – Cynthia Strope has been appointed as the Vice President, Franchise Recruitment & Talent Development at Steak ‘n Shake. In her new role, Strope will be responsible for leading franchise recruitment strategies, enhancing talent development programs, and driving the company’s mission to attract and retain top-tier talent across its franchise network.
Prior to joining Steak ‘n Shake, Cynthia Strope served as the Chief People Officer at Prime Hospitality Group LLC for nearly two years. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in transforming the HR department into a strategic business partner, leading initiatives such as HRIS implementation, digital transformation, and the development of compensation structures to attract top talent.

Before that, she worked at Dewey’s Pizza for approximately four years, where she held roles including Senior Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Manager. In these positions, she focused on compensation benchmarking, employee engagement, and HR policy transformation while also implementing market-based pay structures and streamlined digital processes.
Cynthia also served as the Director of Human Resources at Advanced Testing Laboratory and HR Director at Talbert House, where she led talent management strategies and transformed HR policies to enhance employee experience.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership roles at Great American Insurance Group, including Compensation Director and HR Business Partner, focusing on total rewards, employee relations, and compliance.
