Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands – October 2024 – David Bartsch has assumed the role of Head of Accounting – Financial Markets & Group Treasury at ING. Bringing over two decades of accounting and treasury management expertise, David is set to drive the company’s financial strategies within its Financial Markets & Group Treasury division, advancing ING’s commitment to providing seamless banking solutions.
David’s extensive experience in financial leadership spans various roles at SLB, where he most recently served as Head of Accounting (SSO/GBS) – Europe & Africa, overseeing critical accounting functions and implementing IFRS and US GAAP standards across multiple regions. His tenure at SLB also included serving as Head of Accounting – Global, where he managed global accounting processes, and Group Treasury Controller, ensuring compliance with SEC standards and optimizing treasury systems.
Prior to SLB, David held positions with a strong focus on tax management and financial reporting. As Corporate Controller – Benelux & UK and Financial Reporting Manager for SLB, he delivered executive reporting and managed international tax responsibilities, ensuring robust corporate finance structures. His foundation in auditing and corporate reporting was built during his early roles, including Audit Manager at SBL Chartered Accountants and Junior Controller at Charlton Athletic Football Club.
