Kolkata, West Bengal, India, April 2025 – Debosmita Basu has been elevated to the role of General Manager – Human Resources at Eveready Industries India Ltd, a company renowned for its legacy in portable energy and lighting solutions. In her new role, Debosmita will lead the HR function with a focus on driving people strategy, enhancing organizational culture, and aligning HR initiatives with Eveready’s long-term business goals.
Debosmita has been a part of Eveready Industries India Ltd for more than 16 years, steadily progressing through a series of impactful roles. Most recently, she served as Deputy General Manager – Human Resources for over three years, during which she played a vital role in talent acquisition, learning and development, compensation strategy, and driving employee engagement across the organization.
Prior to that, Debosmita held the position of Senior Manager – Human Resources for nearly six years, where she focused on performance management, training, and team leadership. She was instrumental in implementing HR interventions aimed at improving workforce productivity and aligning business outcomes.
Earlier in her journey at Eveready, she served as Manager – Human Resources and Area Manager – Human Resources, where she contributed significantly to HR operations, policy execution, and cross-functional collaboration. Her grassroots understanding of the business and her people-first approach have made her an integral leader within the organization.
Debosmita began her career at ABP Group, where she worked as Senior Executive – HR for nearly three years. At ABP, she gained valuable experience in performance appraisal systems, compensation structuring, and talent processes, laying the foundation for her future success in HR leadership.
She holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), one of India’s oldest and most respected B-schools in HR and industrial relations.
