Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2026 — SCL Lifesciences Limited has announced the appointment of Deepak Khurana as Vice President – Supply Chain Management. With nearly three decades of experience in procurement and supply chain leadership, he brings strong expertise in strategic sourcing, global procurement, supplier partnerships, and end-to-end supply chain transformation within the pharmaceutical industry. In his new role, he is leading the transformation of the supply chain function into a stronger value creator for the business, aligning supply chain strategy with broader organizational objectives and enabling data-driven decision-making to optimize performance.
Before joining SCL Lifesciences Limited, Deepak Khurana served as Vice President SCM at Cohance Lifesciences, where he managed procurement and supply chain functions across API manufacturing, finished formulations, CDMO, agro, and specialty chemicals businesses. In that role, he was responsible for sourcing critical raw materials, demand planning, materials requirement planning, inbound and outbound logistics, capex procurement, alternate vendor development, budgeting, procurement planning, and customer supply management. His work contributed to cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital optimization, cash flow improvement, and inventory management.
Prior to that, he worked at Curia as GM – Global Procurement & Sourcing EMEA & India, where he managed procurement and sourcing operations for Europe and India drug discovery and API manufacturing CDMO sites. This assignment added strong international exposure to his leadership journey and strengthened his experience in managing direct and indirect procurement across global operations while contributing to new product pipelines and P&L improvement.
Earlier, Deepak Khurana served as Director of Business Operations at Celeste Life Sciences, where he was responsible for end-to-end business operations for a startup focused on specialty chemicals and advanced intermediates. His responsibilities included market scouting, business development, customer relationship management, project execution, procurement, contract finalization, finance coordination, and operational delivery. This role broadened his perspective beyond procurement and gave him valuable experience in business operations, project management, and leadership in a highly competitive environment.
Before that, he held the role of DGM – Supply Chain Management at Jubilant Chemsys Limited, where he managed sourcing and procurement for chemistry, biology, and clinical businesses. Earlier, he served as Manager Contract Manufacturing & Materials at Panacea Biotec, handling procurement for vaccine manufacturing and formulation plants, along with raw materials, packaging materials, and infrastructure capex. He also worked as Assistant Manager at Usha Martin Limited and began his earlier career as Procurement Supervisor at Ranbaxy, where he was involved in procurement for plant maintenance and capex requirements linked to plant expansions and modifications.
His career reflects deep and sustained leadership across procurement, sourcing, supply chain planning, logistics, vendor development, capex buying, and supply chain transformation within the pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors. With this strong background, Deepak Khurana brings a highly experienced and strategic supply chain leadership profile to SCL Lifesciences Limited.
Deepak Khurana also holds qualifications from the Indian Institute of Materials Management, Mumbai, including an MBA in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions and Contracts Management and a Graduate Diploma in Materials Management, reflecting strong academic grounding aligned with his extensive industry experience.
