Morristown, New Jersey, United States, July 2026 — Sanofi has appointed Devika Gupta as Head of Value for Healthcare Systems & Economics within its Business Operations organization, reinforcing the company’s commitment to advancing market access, pricing, and value-based healthcare strategies across its global portfolio.
In her new role, Gupta will lead a global team responsible for executing Sanofi’s Business Operations strategy across market access, pricing, health economics, and value evidence generation for both pipeline and marketed medicines. She will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative market access strategies, strengthen payer value propositions, and ensure patients worldwide gain timely access to transformative therapies.
Gupta joins Sanofi from Merck, where she most recently served as Executive Director, Global Market Access – Immunology. In this role, she led global market access and pricing strategies for the company’s immunology portfolio, shaping payer evidence generation, health technology assessment (HTA) strategies, pricing guidance, and launch planning for first-in-class therapies. She also served as Interim Associate Vice President, Global Market Access Pharma, where she oversaw the formation and leadership of a global market access organization supporting a multi-billion-dollar pharmaceutical portfolio spanning immunology, neuroscience, rare diseases, cardiovascular, and infectious diseases.
Earlier at Merck, Gupta served as Executive Director, Global Market Access – Hospital & Specialty, where she developed global access strategies for infectious disease launches and immunology assets, supported major business development initiatives, and established enterprise-wide market access frameworks that strengthened portfolio governance and commercialization.
Prior to Merck, Gupta built more than twelve years of leadership experience at Pfizer, progressing through several senior global commercial and market access roles. She led global pricing, reimbursement, and HEOR strategies across pain, neuroscience, cardiovascular, women’s health, and emerging markets portfolios. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in multiple global product launches, developed innovative payer engagement strategies, and successfully guided commercialization programs with multi-billion-dollar revenue potential.
She began her career in consulting with Campbell Alliance, advising global biopharmaceutical companies on pricing, reimbursement, market access, and commercialization strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. Earlier, she also gained product marketing experience with Johnson & Johnson LifeScan and engineering experience with Applied Materials.
