Minden, Germany, July 2026 — WAGO has announced the appointment of Björn Twiehaus as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective September 15, 2026, as the company prepares for its next phase of global growth and innovation. He succeeds Jürgen Koopsingraven, who has been serving as Interim CEO alongside his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer.
As CEO, Twiehaus will lead WAGO’s global business strategy, driving growth across its connection and automation technology portfolio while strengthening customer focus, operational excellence, innovation, and international expansion. His appointment also completes WAGO’s Executive Management Board.
Twiehaus joins WAGO after serving as Member of the Management Board and CEO Automotive at Marquardt Group, where he led the company’s global automotive business, overseeing strategic growth, innovation, operational performance, and customer partnerships within the automotive electronics industry.
Prior to Marquardt, he spent more than two decades at FORVIA HELLA, holding a series of increasingly senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Member of the Management Board, Business Division Electronics, where he was responsible for one of the company’s largest global business divisions, driving technology innovation, product strategy, and international business development.
Earlier, he served as Member of the Executive Board – Product Center Energy Management, leading the company’s energy management business, before holding leadership positions including Vice President, Head of Program Management Body Control Modules, Vice President, Head of Global Sales Excellence, Head of the SMD Center Manufacturing Operations, Operational Excellence Manager, Assistant to the Plant Manager, and Manufacturing Engineer. Throughout his tenure, he built extensive expertise across manufacturing, electronics, product development, operations, sales excellence, program management, and executive leadership.
With more than 24 years of international leadership experience spanning the electronics and automotive supplier industries, Twiehaus brings deep expertise in Business Strategy, Executive Leadership, Electronics Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Product Management, Operational Excellence, Global Sales, Engineering, Digital Transformation, Customer-Centric Innovation, Manufacturing Operations, and Organizational Growth.
