Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 2024 – Dr. Dariia Vasylieva has joined the Dubai Blockchain Center as its Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). In this capacity, she will collaborate with the CEO, executive team, and the Board of Directors, focusing on developing strategic initiatives, exploring global business opportunities, and strengthening the Center’s presence in international markets. Dr. Vasylieva’s appointment reinforces the Center’s mission to drive innovation and technological advancement in the blockchain ecosystem.
Dr. Vasylieva is the Founder and General Partner of GETVISION, a multi-family office supporting tech entrepreneurs, and FD CAPITAL, a VCaaS platform for blockchain ventures. Over the past six years, she has launched initiatives like “Founders to Founders,” a global network of 2,500+ tech entrepreneurs, and co-founded the EWA Accelerator, dedicated to empowering women-led startups in the UAE.
Prior to her entrepreneurial ventures, she held leadership roles in capital markets and investment banking, including as Head of Fixed Income Trading at NP RTS Group and Vice President of EM FI Trading at Schildershoven Finance B.V., where she managed global markets trading and investment strategies. Dr. Vasylieva also served as Partner and COO/CIO at First Stage Labs, overseeing venture building operations and investor relations.
Her early career includes advisory positions with innovative startups such as VR Concept, nlsql.com, and Tonstarter, where she provided strategic guidance on financial modeling, market entry, and growth strategies.
Dr. Vasylieva’s professional achievements are underpinned by her strong academic foundation. She holds a Ph.D. in Corporate Finance and Controlling from Kyiv National Economics University and an MBA with a specialization in Design Management from MIP Politecnico di Milano.
