Denver, Colorado, United States, November 2024 – Colorado State University Global (CSU Global) has announced the appointment of Dr. Sandy Jones as its Chief Engagement Officer, effective November 15, 2024. Dr. Jones will lead the University’s engagement efforts, overseeing departments such as admissions, enrollment, partnerships, marketing, and communications, with a strategic focus on optimizing student success and fostering impactful partnerships.
Becky Takeda-Tinker, President of CSU Global, praised Dr. Jones’ leadership:

She embodies our University’s values and has demonstrated a strong ability to develop and leverage innovative processes, technology, and organizational culture to achieve our goals.”
In her new role, Dr. Jones will focus on integrating student-facing teams to enhance the student experience while advancing strategic partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, corporations, government agencies, and industry associations. She will also lead prior learning assessment initiatives and explore new program opportunities that align with CSU Global’s career-connected paradigm, ensuring graduates are prepared to meet the evolving needs of employers.
Dr. Jones joined CSU Global in 2020 as Director of Communications and External Relations, advancing to Vice President of Strategic Engagement in 2022, and has served as Acting Chief Engagement Officer since March 2024. During her tenure, the University experienced a 32% annual enrollment increase and onboarded 52 new enterprise partners, including Denver International Airport, Cox Media, AmeriCorps, and USA Surfing.
Dr. Jones expressed her gratitude:

With two decades of experience in higher education, Dr. Jones previously held leadership roles at University of Colorado Boulder, University of California, Irvine, and University of Southern California. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, an M.Ed. from USC, a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration & Policy from UC Riverside, and is currently pursuing an MBA at CSU Global.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Jones is a community advocate, serving on the Board of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce and previously on the Board of Directors for The Butterfly Foundation.
