Guelph, Ontario, Canada, May 2024 – Elaine Do Rosario has been appointed as the Associate Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (AVP & CHRO) at the University of Guelph. She will lead the university’s HR strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and workforce planning while supporting the university’s commitment to cultivating the essentials for quality of life. Expressing her enthusiasm, Do Rosario stated, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as AVP & CHRO at University of Guelph!”
Do Rosario brings over 15 years of HR experience to her new role. Most recently, she served at Halton Healthcare for over ten years, holding multiple positions including Director of Human Resources since October 2018. In this role, she was responsible for strategic HR leadership, employee relations, and talent management. Prior to that, she was Manager of Talent Solutions from August 2013 to October 2018, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning initiatives.
Before joining Halton Healthcare, Do Rosario was Director of Human Resources Solution Delivery at Hudson from October 2011 to August 2013. Here, she managed HR solution delivery for global clients, particularly in recruitment and talent acquisition. Previously, she served as Recruitment Manager at GlaxoSmithKline Inc. from January 2009 to December 2011, and as Recruitment Specialist from April 2007 to January 2009.
Earlier in her career, Do Rosario contributed as an Associate at Permanent Search Group from 2004 to 2007, where she gained experience in talent acquisition and executive search.
