Birmingham, England, United Kingdom, March 2025 – Goldman Sachs, a global leader in investment banking and financial services, has announced the appointment of Ellen Graemer as Vice President Executive Director – Human Capital Management. In her new role, Ellen will be responsible for driving key people strategies and aligning the firm’s talent agenda with business growth, innovation, and culture initiatives across the region.
Ellen joins Goldman Sachs after an impactful tenure of nearly six years at Gymshark, where she most recently served as Head of People. In this role, she led the People Partnering team for the company’s corporate functions, including Tech, Data, Legal, Finance, and HR, during a period of rapid scale-up and transformation.

Prior to that, she worked as a Senior Associate in Employment Law at Mills & Reeve, where she advised commercial, education, and health sector clients on complex HR and employment matters, including tribunal litigation and international workforce projects. Her earlier legal roles include tenures at DLA Piper, Squire Patton Boggs, and a secondment in Paris, giving her valuable cross-border employment law and compliance experience.
Throughout her career, Ellen has been recognized for combining legal expertise with strategic HR leadership, making her an ideal fit for Goldman Sachs’ evolving people strategy in the UK and EMEA region.
