SAMREF Saudi Aramco Mobil Refinery Company Ltd., a prominent joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Exxon Mobil Corporation, is proud to announce the appointment of Devan Kumar as Senior Advisor in Organizational Development (OD), Human Resources. This strategic role is aimed at steering the company’s HR and organizational goals to new heights, leveraging Kumar’s extensive experience and innovative approach to HR management.

With a remarkable 28-year career span, including 15 years in CHRO/Director roles, Kumar has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic insight across various industries such as Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, Power Plant, Construction, and Manufacturing. His global experience, covering Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the USA, has equipped him with a deep understanding of diverse business environments and the ability to drive significant organizational growth.

Kumar’s expertise extends to strategic HR leadership, where he has been instrumental in aligning HR strategies with broader organizational objectives. Known for leveraging HR technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to transform workforce experiences, Kumar has been a pioneer in restructuring HR divisions, redefining business processes, and integrating innovative HR systems to achieve holistic organizational development.

Prior to joining SAMREF, Kumar held several key positions, including Human Resources Director at edotco Group in Malaysia and Sri Lanka, HR Consultant at MRCB, and Director for the MENA region at ICE Petroleum. He has also served as the Chief HR Officer at Al Suwaidi Holding Company in Saudi Arabia, showcasing his ability to navigate complex HR landscapes and drive efficiency and growth.

Kumar’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in HRM and Strategic Business Management from Hawaii Pacific University, further underlining his strong foundation in HR principles and strategic business management.
