Karāchi, Sindh, Pakistan, July 2024 – Kamran Z. Shaikh has taken on the role of Head of Human Resources at Paragon Constructors Pvt Ltd. Kamran is excited to lead the HR strategy at this leading construction company.
Kamran Z. Shaikh was previously with IRD Global for over seven years, where he served in various HR leadership roles, including Assistant Director, HR (Functional Head), Senior HR Manager, and HR Manager. During his tenure, he developed HR systems, managed global HR operations, led executive-level recruitment across multiple countries, and participated in grants and statutory audits. He also strengthened HR analytics to support strategic decision-making and led a team of 10 HR professionals.
Prior to that, Kamran worked as an Assistant Manager, Human Resources at Habib University for two years. He managed talent acquisition, developed policy guidelines, conducted training need analysis, and collaborated closely with the Finance Office to reconcile headcounts.
Before joining Habib University, Kamran served as Assistant Manager, Organizational Development at Tameer Micro Finance Bank for one and a half years. He analyzed and recommended best HR practices, conducted new employee orientation, created competency frameworks, and managed performance review cycles.
Kamran also worked at GfK Etilize Inc. in various HR roles for nearly four years. He managed HR responsibilities for one of the largest headcount departments, facilitated payroll and talent acquisition, and organized capacity-building programs.
Earlier in his career, Kamran completed an internship at MCB Head Office as a Compliance Resolution Analyst, managing customer queries, updating compliance management systems, and documenting assigned cases.
He began his career as a Teaching Assistant to Visiting Faculty at Iqra University (IU), Pakistan, where he managed grades, quizzes, assignments, and facilitated classes in the absence of faculty members.
