New York, United States, July 2025 – Emily Wilhelm has begun her tenure as Head of Human Resources at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, a premier global law firm. In this key leadership position, Emily will lead HR strategy and operations, driving talent management, employee experience, and organizational development across the firm’s international offices.
Prior to joining Orrick, Emily served as Head of HR at HAP Capital for over two years. She designed and led all HR functions, from recruiting and compensation to DEI, HR technology, performance management, and employee relations, ensuring a strong people strategy aligned with business goals.
Earlier, Emily spent more than nine years at Goldman Sachs in a variety of HR leadership roles, most recently as Global Co-Chief of Staff, Financing Group, Investment Banking and previously as Global Business Partner, Human Capital Management. Her remit included talent strategy, succession planning, global mobility, HR transformation, and executive advisory responsibilities, where she partnered closely with C-suite and divisional leaders to advance strategic growth and people initiatives.
Before her time at Goldman Sachs, Emily was a Senior Manager, Global Employer Services at Deloitte Tax LLP for seven years, managing global client relationships, implementing talent and rewards strategies, and overseeing large-scale HR transformation projects across industries.
Emily’s earlier experience includes business development and leadership roles at the French-American Chamber of Commerce in both New York and Chicago, as well as marketing and project management with Stella Canaris.
