Madrid, Spain, June 2024 – Begoña Fernández Aparicio has taken on the role of Head of HR Wind Systems at Gurit. Begoña brings extensive experience and expertise to her new role, aiming to lead and develop the HR strategies within the Wind Systems business unit.
Begoña has been with Gurit for approximately 5 years and 4 months. Prior to her current role, she served as an HR Business Partner for around 8 months, responsible for ensuring the implementation and development of HR strategies, projects, and processes within the Wind Systems business unit.
Before that, Begoña was the Group HR People Development Program Manager for about 3 years and 11 months. In this role, she led the Safety First Corporate Project across all Gurit Group sites and offices, striving to achieve zero work-related injuries and illnesses by optimizing internal processes and aligning them with industry best practices.
She also held the position of HR & HS Director for approximately 7 months, managing and strategizing the Human Resources and Health & Safety department, and was a member of the steering committee.
Earlier in her career, Begoña worked as a Human Resources and Quality Consultant for around 6 months, providing headhunting, training, and quality and environment certification services to various clients. She also served as the Human Resources (HR) and Quality Director at GRUPO ESTEYCO for approximately 12 years and 9 months, where she established the HR and Quality Department and managed a wide range of HR and quality activities for the company.
Additionally, Begoña was the Recruitment and Assessment Manager (HR) at Dixons Retail, PC City for about 3 years, where she managed the recruitment and training processes for store and headquarters staff. Prior to that, she was the HR Development and Quality Manager at DIRECT SEGUROS for approximately 4 years, implementing performance development and quality management processes.
Her early career includes a role as an HR and Quality Technician and Assistant at Openbank for about 3 years, where she was part of the team that launched the bank and managed various HR and quality-related tasks.
