Corby, England, United Kingdom, October 2025 – RS Group plc, a global omni-channel provider of product and service solutions for industrial and electronic sectors, has announced the appointment of Emma Hockham as Head of People, UK & Ireland. In this strategic role, Emma will lead the company’s people and culture agenda across the region, driving workforce engagement, leadership development, and HR transformation to strengthen RS Group’s position as an employer of choice in the industrial technology sector.
With nearly 15 years of progressive HR experience, Emma brings a wealth of expertise in people strategy, change management, employee engagement, and organizational development across leading organizations in logistics, healthcare, and industrial services. Her appointment reflects RS Group’s commitment to nurturing a high-performance, inclusive, and future-ready workforce.
Before joining RS Group, Emma Hockham served as HR Business Partner at Wolseley UK, where she led the design and execution of people strategies supporting business transformation and operational excellence. Over her three years with Wolseley, Emma played a pivotal role in strengthening HR processes, talent pipelines, and employee engagement across the organization’s nationwide operations.
Prior to Wolseley, Emma worked with GenesisCare, a leading global healthcare provider, as Senior People and Culture Business Partner, where she partnered with leadership to deliver global HR strategies across 16 UK clinical sites and shared services. She led key programs in employee wellbeing, talent review, engagement surveys, and change management while supporting the company through significant workforce transitions and pandemic-related challenges.
Earlier in her career, Emma was part of Gist Limited, where she served as HR Business Partner, South (Foods). She led a team of 10 HR professionals overseeing over 2,000 employees across five sites, implemented new pay frameworks through national union negotiations, and developed onboarding and induction initiatives that significantly improved retention. Her tenure also included roles as Regional HR Manager and Recruitment Manager at DHL, where she gained extensive experience in HR transformation, project deployment, and organizational restructuring.
Emma began her HR journey at Xerox Ltd, where she completed a year-long HR placement as part of her undergraduate degree, laying the groundwork for her data-driven and people-centric approach to human resource management. She holds a Master’s degree in Management of Human Resources from De Montfort University, complementing her early academic foundation in international business from Brunel University of London.
