Nairobi, Kenya, March 2026 — Equity Group has appointed Jack Musaali as Group Director – Human Capabilities Development. In this role, Musaali is responsible for building capability systems, leadership pipelines, and learning infrastructure to help the Group develop talent from within across its multi-country footprint.
Musaali brings a leadership development and organisational capability lens to the role, with a focus on strengthening leadership readiness, enabling scalable learning systems, and supporting long-term workforce capability aligned to Equity Group’s growth ambitions.
Before this appointment, he has been active in leadership development work through Maxwell Leadership as a certified speaker, coach, and trainer, facilitating leadership development experiences such as workshops, executive coaching, and speaking engagements rooted in values-based leadership.
Alongside this, Musaali is the owner of J&M Musaali Ltd, a leadership and governance advisory practice supporting boards and senior leadership teams across East and Central Africa, with work spanning governance effectiveness, leadership development, and organisational capability building.
Earlier in his career, he served as Operations Manager at Watoto Church, with responsibilities spanning organisational functions, strategy and policy development, implementation, and project management.
He also spent several years with Barclays Bank Uganda, holding roles across commercial and personal banking, including Cash Sales Manager – Commercial Banking, Team Leader – Asset Processing, Personal Banker, and Personal Banking Advisor, supporting clients across lending, sales, and loan processing.
Earlier assignments include a management trainee role at Jubilee Insurance Company Ltd, a fellowship in government affairs through the Witherspoon Fellowship, and roles with NILECOM and Kampala City Council.
