Eunice Sampson has been promoted to Associate Partner at Ernst & Young (EY).
This new role represents a significant advancement in Sampson’s impressive career, highlighting her deep expertise and commitment to climate change and sustainability. Located in Lagos, Nigeria, Sampson’s new position underlines EY’s focus on expanding its environmental and sustainability efforts within the region.
Sampson joined EY in November 2021, initially serving as the Director of Climate Change & Sustainability for West Africa. Over these two and a half years, she has played a crucial role in shaping the firm’s sustainability strategies and practices across the region. Her promotion to Associate Partner after such a relatively short period is a testament to her impact and the trust she has earned within the firm.
Prior to her time at EY, Sampson held significant roles at Dangote Cement Plc and Zenith Bank Plc, accumulating over 19 years of experience in sustainability and corporate social responsibility. At Dangote Cement, she was the General Manager and Group Head of Sustainability, where she led numerous sustainability initiatives and reporting mechanisms. Before that, Sampson spent nearly a decade and a half at Zenith Bank, where she was instrumental in developing and leading the bank’s sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and economic intelligence functions.
Her extensive background includes managing corporate social responsibility, environmental and social risk management, stakeholder engagement, and community relations. These roles have equipped her with the necessary skills and insights to excel in her new leadership position at EY.
