Lewes, England, United Kingdom, September 2024 – Eve Clennell has been appointed as the new Head of People and Experience at Southdown, effective September 2024. In this role, Clennell will lead Southdown’s People function, driving strategies to achieve organizational goals and aspirations. She will oversee a multi-discipline team of 27, focusing on talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, reward and recognition, employee relations, and compliance, with a budget of £1.35 million.
Prior to joining Southdown, Eve Clennell served as HR Business Partner at Southdown for approximately 7 months, where she led various projects and provided strategic advice on restructuring and compensation.
Before Southdown, Clennell was the People and Culture Operations Manager at Vattenfall UK for about 1 year and 8 months. She managed UK HR operations, supporting HR Business Partners and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company guidelines.
Her previous role was as People, Culture, and Strategy Manager at Broanmain Plastics, where she worked for nearly 1 year and 9 months. She was responsible for shaping the organization’s long-term strategy and improving organizational effectiveness.
Clennell also served as Head of HR at atom studios for about 2 years, where she managed HR activities and developed strategies for a high-growth startup.
Before that, she was the HR Business Partner (Interim/Maternity Cover) at Activate Learning for approximately 1 year and 2 months, where she provided expertise in performance management, employee relations, and change initiatives.
