In his new role, Ghosh will lead the Mid Corporate Market team for the Northeast Region, driving business growth across SME and mid-market enterprises. He will be responsible for developing and monitoring commercial banking portfolios, leading credit appraisal and sanction coordination, achieving cluster-level business targets, expanding assets and liabilities, strengthening CASA growth, improving Net Interest Margin (NIM), generating fee income, and delivering profitable growth aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.

This promotion marks another milestone in Ghosh’s impressive 11-year journey with Federal Bank, during which he has consistently progressed through increasingly senior leadership positions.

Most recently, he served as Associate Vice President & Cluster Head, where he led the Commercial Banking team across the Northeast region, overseeing commercial lending above ₹5 crore, driving business development, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering sustained growth across assets, liabilities, profitability, and banking revenues.

Earlier, as Associate Vice President & Team Lead, he managed regional commercial banking operations, leading high-performing teams focused on SME lending, credit assessment, customer acquisition, and regional business performance.

Prior to that, he served as Senior Manager & Team Lead, where he successfully led commercial banking teams while driving credit growth, business expansion, and profitability across the region.

During his tenure as Senior Business Relationship Manager (Scale III – SME), Ghosh managed business development and portfolio monitoring for SME loans exceeding ₹5 crore across the Northeast, working closely with senior management, branches, credit teams, and customers to accelerate approvals and business growth.

He also held the positions of Commercial Banking Manager and Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, where he played a key role in expanding Federal Bank’s commercial banking franchise across the region through business development, relationship management, and credit portfolio growth.

Earlier in his banking career, he served as Assistant Manager – Priority Banking & Loans & Advances, supporting high-net-worth customers while managing retail and SME lending, followed by responsibilities across branch operations, foreign exchange, cheque clearing, and business development.

Before joining Federal Bank in 2015, Ghosh spent over three years with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, where he served as Senior Financial Manager (Bancassurance) and Sales Manager, leading insurance distribution through banking partnerships, sales planning, branch capability development, and business growth initiatives.

Throughout his career, Ghosh has built strong expertise in Commercial Banking, SME Lending, Credit Analysis, Business Development, Relationship Management, Mid-Corporate Banking, Liability Growth, CASA Mobilization, Cross-selling, Credit Appraisal, Portfolio Management, Team Leadership, Banking Operations, and Strategic Business Development.

He holds an MBA in Banking from Manipal University.

His elevation reflects Federal Bank’s continued focus on developing internal leadership talent and strengthening its commercial banking capabilities across key regional markets.
