Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 2026 — FedEx has announced the appointment of Fern Pais as Head of Communications – Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (MEISA). In this role, Pais will lead regional communications for MEISA, supporting FedEx’s reputation, stakeholder engagement, and storytelling across a diverse and strategically important geography.
With this move, FedEx strengthens its communications leadership in a region that spans high-growth markets and complex operating environments, where consistent narrative, brand trust, and employee engagement are central to business momentum and customer confidence.
Prior to joining FedEx, Pais was part of PepsiCo’s communications team for Africa, Middle East, and South Asia (AMESA), where she worked across a multi-market mandate from 2022 to 2026. Her experience includes driving communications across varied stakeholder groups and business priorities in fast-evolving markets.
Earlier, she served as Internal Communications Lead at Tata AIA Life Insurance, and before that was People and CSR Communications Lead at Essar, building depth in employee communications, culture, and purpose-led storytelling.
Her background also includes agency experience with Genesis BCW, Adfactors PR, Edelman, and MSLGROUP, covering corporate communications and public relations across sectors including BFSI and healthcare. She began her career with BNY Mellon in asset management operations, and also held an early role as a College Reporter with Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group).
