Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, September 2025 — Frances Summerhayes has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Evolution Mining Limited (ASX: EVN), a globally relevant gold producer with operations across Australia and Canada.
Summerhayes joins Evolution with over two decades of experience in global mining and professional services. Most recently, she served at BHP Limited (ASX: BHP), where she held senior leadership roles in finance across some of the world’s largest mining operations and projects. Her work spanned copper, iron ore, potash, and thermal coal, and included leading multi-billion-dollar capital allocation reviews, embedding ESG-linked frameworks, and driving procurement and cost-efficiency strategies.
Her earlier career at PwC provided her with a solid foundation in financial assurance, risk management, and advisory, enabling her to strengthen financial reporting integrity and governance for clients across industries. This formative experience shaped her analytical approach and decision-making style in finance leadership.
At Evolution Mining, Frances will focus on enhancing margin resilience and capital discipline across the portfolio, supporting long-life asset growth, embedding ESG into financial strategies, and fostering a resilient, values-driven culture.
