Lagos, Nigeria, August 2024 – Franklin Ali has been promoted to the position of Group Chief Human Resource Officer at Interswitch Group. In this elevated role, Franklin will oversee the HR functions across the organization, driving strategic HR initiatives and supporting the company’s mission to provide innovative payment solutions across Africa.
Franklin Ali has been with Interswitch Group for over five years, having previously served as the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, he led the HR department, focusing on organizational development, talent management, and aligning HR strategies with business goals.
Before becoming the CHRO, Franklin held the position of Head of Organization and Talent Management at Interswitch. His contributions were critical in shaping the company’s talent strategy, including workforce planning, recruitment, and employee development.
Prior to joining Interswitch, Franklin was a Senior Manager – Talent Management and Business Partnering at TGI Group of Companies. Here, he was responsible for talent acquisition, business partnering, and talent development, helping the organization to build a strong talent pipeline.
Earlier in his career, Franklin served as an HR Business Partner at UBA Group, where he promoted HR tools and processes to support business objectives and managed various HR functions, including succession planning, career planning, and HR automation.
In addition to these roles, Franklin gained experience as an HR Generalist at Nestoil Limited, where he was responsible for payroll management, recruitment, and performance management, and as a Learning Advisor at UBA Group, where he managed training programs and logistics.
