Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Garima Kochar has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at KEC Asian Cables Ltd., part of the RPG Group, marking a significant leadership move in the organization’s people strategy as it continues to strengthen its position in the global cables and engineering space.
In her new role, Garima will lead the company’s human capital strategy, focusing on building a high-performance culture, strengthening leadership pipelines, and aligning HR practices with business growth and transformation goals.
Prior to joining KEC Asian Cables Ltd., Garima served as Vice President – Human Resources at Apraava Energy, where she played a key role in driving HR strategy and supporting organizational growth initiatives in the energy sector.
Earlier, she held the position of Chief People Officer at Evonith Steel, where she led enterprise-wide HR initiatives, contributing to talent development and organizational effectiveness in a dynamic industrial environment.
Garima spent a significant part of her career with Holcim (ACC Ltd. & Ambuja Cement), where she built deep expertise across multiple facets of HR over nearly two decades. As Head HR & Admin, she managed HR for four pan-India divisions, driving large-scale workforce strategies and operational excellence. Prior to that, she led Leadership Development, shaping talent pipelines across the organization, and earlier drove Performance Management Systems & Employee Engagement, strengthening organizational culture and performance frameworks. She began her journey at ACC Ltd. as a Human Resources Manager, laying a strong foundation in HR operations and business partnering.
With over two decades of experience, Garima brings deep expertise in HR leadership, talent management, organizational development, and large-scale industrial workforce management, making her well-positioned to lead KEC Asian Cables’ people agenda.
Garima holds a PGPM in Human Resources from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, equipping her with a strong academic foundation in HR strategy and organizational behavior.
