Gurugram, Haryana, India, November 2025 — Gautam Khanna has begun a new chapter in his professional journey as Vice President Talent Acquisition at Axis Max Life Insurance Limited, marking a significant leadership elevation in the HR domain. In this role, he now leads the organisation’s talent acquisition strategy, supporting business growth and strengthening its human capital agenda.
Before taking on his new role, Gautam Khanna served as General Manager – Human Resources at Harmony Hyundai for nearly three years, where he played a key role in establishing HR SOPs, enhancing employee engagement, ensuring compliance across Canada and the US, and implementing progressive talent and culture initiatives. His work earned him multiple recognitions including Employee of the Month, Quarter, and Year, reflecting his impact on organisational excellence.
Prior to Harmony Hyundai, he spent over six years with Max Life Insurance Company Limited, where he progressed through pivotal HR leadership roles including Vice President – HR, Assistant Vice President – HR, and HR Business Partner for Sales & Operations. During this period, he led strategic HR interventions across digital transformation, compensation and benefits, DEI frameworks, leadership development, and performance management. His contributions included designing compensation philosophy, leading HR digitization initiatives, heading recruitment transformation, and building multiple employee experience platforms.
Before his tenure at Max Life Insurance, Gautam worked as Chief Manager – HR Business Partner and Senior HR Manager (HRBP) at Genpact India, where he drove key mandates in talent management, performance systems, HR analytics, employee engagement, and Talent Acquisition for multi-location teams. His responsibilities also spanned leadership facilitation, retention strategy, and organisation-wide capability building.
Earlier in his career, he held impactful roles at Bharti Walmart, where he led talent management, performance management, store HR strategy, and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, and at IGT Solutions, where he played an instrumental role in HR digitization, HR analytics, early attrition frameworks, and employee experience enhancements across domestic and international operations. His foundational experience spans HRBP roles, MIS, PMS, compensation, employee relations, and talent acquisition in organisations such as Aegis BPO and Into Solutions, setting the base for his comprehensive HR expertise.
Gautam Khanna holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s most prestigious management institutes.
