Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — GEMS Education, India has appointed Kritika Joshi as its new Vice President & Head of Human Resources. In her new role, she will lead the Human Resources function across India, driving the organization’s people strategy and HR transformation agenda. She will be responsible for strengthening and standardizing HR processes, leading talent acquisition, organizational design, payroll, employee experience, performance management, and policy development while partnering with business leaders to build scalable people practices that support the company’s continued expansion across the country.
With over 16 years of experience in human resources, Kritika Joshi has built a distinguished career in strategic HR leadership, business partnering, talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement. Prior to joining GEMS Education, India, she spent more than a decade at Citi, where she most recently served as Vice President – Business Partner. In this capacity, she acted as a strategic advisor to global leadership, translating business priorities into integrated people strategies across multi-geography environments. She led enterprise workforce planning, organizational design, executive talent initiatives, employee engagement programs, and workforce analytics to enable data-driven business decisions.
Before Citi, Kritika served as Assistant Manager – HR at Housing.com, where she partnered with business leaders to support the launch of a new business unit, managed vendor relationships, drove workforce planning initiatives, and implemented HR policies that strengthened organizational effectiveness. Earlier, she worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Cipla Ltd., leading recruitment, onboarding, employee retention initiatives, compensation negotiations, and performance management programs. She began her professional journey as a Human Resources Consultant at New Era India, where she managed end-to-end recruitment, talent mapping, headhunting, and candidate engagement across client organizations.
Kritika holds an MBA in Human Resources from Gautam Buddha University, providing a strong academic foundation that complements her extensive corporate HR leadership experience.
With her proven expertise in HR transformation, strategic business partnering, talent management, and organizational development, Kritika is well positioned to support GEMS Education India’s next phase of growth by strengthening its people strategy, enhancing employee experience, and building scalable HR practices that enable long-term success.
