Milan, Italy, October 2025 — The Giorgio Armani Group has appointed Giuseppe Marsocci as Chief Executive Officer, marking the first leadership transition after the death of founder Giorgio Armani in September. Marsocci, 61, is a 23-year veteran of the company who most recently served as Deputy Managing Director & Global Chief Commercial Officer (2019–2025). The appointment is effective immediately and includes his entry to the board of directors.
Marsocci will report to a board chaired by Leo (Pantaleo) Dell’Orco; Silvana Armani will serve as Vice Chair—a structure aligned with the founder’s succession framework and unanimously backed by the Giorgio Armani Foundation.
Per the late founder’s will, the group plans to sell a 15% stake within 18 months of his passing, with preferred counterparties including LVMH, L’Oréal, and EssilorLuxottica (licensing partners for beauty and eyewear). If a minority sale does not proceed, the will instructs the company to pursue a public listing; analysts have floated a potential valuation above €7 billion.
About Giuseppe Marsocci

Colleagues cite his discretion, continuity focus, and deep commercial experience across wholesale and retail footprints.
What this means for Armani
The appointment underscores a continuity-first approach: preserving brand DNA while executing a complex ownership transition and navigating a reflective luxury market. With governance clarified and a seasoned insider at the helm, the group is positioned to carry forward Armani’s aesthetic and operational principles under a tighter board-led model.
