Global X ETFs Names Eric Olsen as New Head of Finance and CFO

NEW YORK — Global X ETFs, a leading New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds, announced today the appointment of Eric Olsen as the new Head of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Principal Accounting Officer, effective April 23, 2024. Olsen, a seasoned finance professional, joins from SEI Investments where he served as Director of Investment Manager Services.

Strategic Leadership Enhancement at Global X ETFs

Eric Olsen’s extensive background in fund management and operations positions him well to lead Global X ETFs’ financial and HR functions. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including significant roles at Aberdeen Standard Investments and BNY Mellon, Olsen brings a wealth of expertise to his new role at Global X.

Ryan O’Connor, recently appointed CEO of Global X ETFs, expressed enthusiasm about Olsen’s appointment: “During my first week here, it has already become clear how talented and energized the Global X team is, and we are thrilled to welcome Eric as our latest addition to that team. He brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise with fund management, fund operations, and financial reporting. Eric Olsen is an accomplished finance executive with a robust history in the investment management industry. Before his time at SEI Investments, Olsen was the Deputy Head of Fund Operations for Traditional Assets in the Americas at Aberdeen Standard Investments and spent over 15 years at BNY Mellon, culminating in his role as Director of Financial Reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and a Master of Business Administration from Widener University.
