New Delhi, India, April 2025 – In a move aligning with its AI-first strategy, Microsoft has elevated Himani Agrawal to Chief Operating Officer for India & South Asia. This appointment is part of a broader leadership reshuffle designed to accelerate digital transformation and AI integration across the region. In her new role, Himani will be responsible for operational strategy, business alignment, and driving Microsoft’s mission to empower every individual and organization in an increasingly AI-driven world.
Prior to this promotion, Himani Agrawal served as Chief Partner Officer for Microsoft India and South Asia, where she led partner ecosystem growth and innovation, fostering deeper collaboration across industries.
Earlier, she held the role of Country Head, Azure, Microsoft India, where she played a critical role in expanding Microsoft’s cloud business, driving Azure’s adoption among enterprises, and advancing India’s digital economy initiatives.
Before that, she served as Head – Business Application Solutions and Chief of Staff to the President of Microsoft India, providing strategic support and leading major organizational initiatives to transform business processes and drive customer engagement.
Earlier in her journey at Microsoft, Himani led commercial marketing functions and mid-market initiatives. Prior to her leadership roles at Microsoft, she gained valuable industry experience at SAP as Cloud and LoB Solutions Marketing Lead for the Indian subcontinent, and at Inforte (a Business & Decision company) as Principal Consultant. She also worked with iflex solutions (Oracle Financial Services Software) and began her career as Member Technical Staff at Enpro India Ltd, building strong foundations in technology and consulting.
