Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – Himanshu Desai has been named the Head of Operations at Huhtamaki India, bringing with him over 14 years of leadership experience in operations, covering production, maintenance, quality control, and business excellence. In his new role, Himanshu will focus on enhancing safety performance and cultivating a ZERO loss mindset across the company’s manufacturing footprint in India.
Prior to this appointment, Himanshu served as General Manager at Huhtamaki Vietnam, where he led operations strategy and execution with a sharp focus on efficiency and safety. His tenure in Vietnam demonstrated his ability to lead cross-cultural teams and streamline manufacturing processes in highly dynamic environments.
Before that, he held the role of Head of Operations – UAE for over a decade at Huhtamaki Group, where he managed three manufacturing facilities in the Flexible Packaging segment. He drove key initiatives in World Class Operations (WCO) and implemented best practices in Safety and Operational Excellence, earning a reputation for strategic leadership and disciplined execution.
Himanshu’s early experience includes a tenure at Roto Packing Materials LLC as Production Manager, where he honed his skills in production planning, shift operations, and quality assurance in a fast-paced industrial setting.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Printing and Graphic Communication from Pune University, a foundation that has supported his deep understanding of packaging technologies and manufacturing innovation.
