Massachusetts, United States, June 2026 — Hollie Ward has joined MassMutual as Head of Talent Management, HR Consulting and Workforce Planning. In her new role, she will lead the organization’s talent management strategy, workforce planning initiatives, leadership development agenda, succession planning programs, and HR consulting capabilities, helping MassMutual strengthen its people strategy and prepare for future workforce needs.
With nearly three decades of experience spanning talent management, leadership development, HR business partnership, workforce planning, succession management, and executive talent strategy, Hollie brings extensive expertise in building high-performing organizations and developing future-ready leaders.
Prior to joining MassMutual, Hollie Ward held several senior leadership positions within The Cigna Group, where she played a pivotal role in shaping enterprise talent and human resources strategies. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, HR Officer, providing strategic HR leadership and supporting business transformation initiatives across the organization.
Before that, Hollie served as Senior Vice President, Talent Management, leading enterprise-wide talent management, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce capability initiatives. During her tenure, she helped strengthen leadership pipelines and advance talent strategies designed to support organizational growth and long-term business success.
Earlier, she held the position of Vice President, Talent Development, where she led talent development programs focused on leadership readiness, employee growth, capability building, and succession management. Prior to this role, she served as Managing Director, Leadership Development and Talent Readiness, overseeing leadership development initiatives and preparing future leaders for critical organizational roles.
Her extensive leadership experience at Cigna also included serving as HR Officer – Legal and Human Resources, HR Director – Finance and Investments, HR Director – National Segment, Product and Marketing, HR Director – Underwriting and Stop Loss Business, and Leadership Development Manager. Across these roles, she partnered closely with senior executives, led strategic workforce initiatives, managed talent and succession programs, and supported organizational effectiveness efforts across multiple business functions.
Hollie began her career with Cigna’s HR Leadership Development Program, where she gained foundational experience in human resources, talent management, and business partnership. She later served as a Human Resources Business Partner supporting investment and retirement businesses before progressing through increasingly senior leadership roles. Prior to joining Cigna, she worked as a Staffing Associate with Coopers & Lybrand, gaining early experience in talent acquisition and workforce management.
Throughout her career, Hollie has built a reputation as a trusted HR leader with deep expertise in talent strategy, leadership development, succession planning, workforce transformation, and organizational effectiveness.
