Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 — Jagdish Nainwal has been appointed as the Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Global Head of Natural Plant Protection (NPP) for UPL Corp. at UPL. In this dual leadership role, Jagdish will drive UPL’s global marketing strategy while spearheading the growth of its Natural Plant Protection business, supporting the company’s broader sustainability and innovation goals across international markets.
Jagdish has been with UPL for over 11 years, most recently serving as the Regional Head LATIN AMERICA for Integrated UPL (UPL & AYRSTA), where he led operations across the Latin American region based out of Mexico City. He has also held key leadership positions such as Regional Director LATAM, Director General for Mexico & Cuba, and Global Head of Insecticide Portfolio, significantly contributing to UPL’s commercial and regional success.
Earlier in his career, he served as Crop/Product Manager at BASF, where he drove sales and marketing for crop portfolios in India. He also worked with DuPont Pioneer as Regional Business Manager – Paddy, managing rural market sales across Eastern India. Jagdish began his professional journey at United Phosphorus Ltd (UPL) as Regional Manager, overseeing markets in Punjab, Rajasthan, and Delhi.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Jagdish currently serves as President of the India Mexico Trade and Commerce Council (INDMEX) and as a Panel Member of the World Economic Forum’s Regional Action Group for Latin America, contributing to the sustainable food systems agenda.
