His transition into the COO position follows his impactful tenure as President – Business Excellence, where he strengthened the company’s operational systems, digital transformation initiatives, and strategic governance frameworks across key business functions.
In his most recent role at SKIPPER LIMITED, Jalaj Malpani led critical transformation programs spanning HR, IT, digital initiatives, EHS & sustainability, and enterprise-wide business improvement. His ability to drive structural efficiencies, strengthen operational rigor, and enhance decision-making has played an important role in Skipper’s continued evolution as an integrated, future-ready manufacturing and infrastructure solutions provider.
Prior to joining Skipper, Jalaj Malpani served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at ArcelorMittal, Kazakhstan, where he contributed to large-scale industrial operations, business transformation initiatives, procurement excellence, logistics optimization, and plant-automation programs. His leadership across high-intensity industrial environments further strengthened his expertise in strategy, operations, and performance improvement.
Earlier in his career, Jalaj Malpani held senior leadership responsibilities including Director of Finance/CFO at Electrosteel Steels Ltd, where he oversaw financial strategy, business planning, and organizational performance during a critical phase of the company’s growth. His experience across finance, commercial operations, long-term strategy, and business transformation has shaped him into a well-rounded leader capable of steering complex organizational mandates.
His academic journey includes a B.Com. degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, followed by qualifying credentials as a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and AICWA (ICWAI), building a strong foundation in finance, governance, and business management. This multidimensional educational background, combined with over three decades of professional experience, positions him strongly to lead SKIPPER LIMITED into its next phase of operational excellence and global expansion.
