Jana Rosenmann Appointed as President of Piston Automotive

DETROIT — Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group family of companies, has announced the appointment of Jana Rosenmann as its new president.

Rosenmann, who brings a wealth of global experience from the automotive and defense industries, will report directly to Vinnie Johnson, Founder and Chairman of Piston Group, and Bob Holloway, the Group’s Chief Operating Officer.

Rosenmann comes to Piston Automotive with an impressive background in strategic and operational leadership. Prior to her new role, she was an Executive Vice President at ZF Group, where she managed the Electronics & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Division. Here, Rosenmann was instrumental in driving growth and transformation, articulating strategic direction, and overseeing business operations.

Her extensive career also includes over two decades at Airbus, where she held several key positions including Executive Vice President of the Unmanned Aerial Systems Division and Senior Vice President, Head of Strategy & Marketing. During her tenure at Airbus, Rosenmann played a crucial role in expanding the unmanned aerial systems business and leading strategic transformations within the defense sector.

Rosenmann’s international perspective is further enriched by her early career and education. Originally from South Africa, she moved to the UK at 26 to pursue a Master’s degree in International Relations Theory & European Studies from the University of Kent, after working as an export manager in the mining industry. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.
