Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, January 2026 — Ashok Leyland Limited has announced the appointment of Jasmeet Bhatia as President & Head – HR (President & CHRO), effective January 27, 2026. Jasmeet succeeds Raja Radhakrishnan, who has been serving as President & Head HR. Raja Radhakrishnan will now take on a new role handling Special Projects for Ashok Leyland and the wider Hinduja Group, continuing his involvement at the group level.
In his new role, Jasmeet Bhatia will lead Ashok Leyland’s people strategy, strengthening leadership capability, talent systems, culture, and organizational effectiveness to support the company’s ambitions across operations, manufacturing excellence, and business growth.
Before joining Ashok Leyland, Jasmeet Bhatia served for a little over five years at Thermax Limited as Chief Human Resource Officer & Executive Vice President, where he led HR strategy for a large and complex industrial organization, strengthening talent systems, leadership development, and people transformation aligned to business priorities.
Prior to Thermax, Jasmeet spent nearly five years at Carrier Corporation, holding key leadership roles including HR Director – India and later HR Director South Asia Pacific. In these positions, he played a pivotal role in steering HR across multi-location operations, supporting workforce strategy, organizational capability building, and leadership alignment across the region.
Earlier, he worked at Valvoline for close to a year as Vice President Human Resources, supporting people strategy in a specialized and performance-driven environment.
Jasmeet also built a deep HR leadership foundation over nearly eight years at Honeywell Automation India Ltd, where he held multiple roles including Director Human Resources, HR Head – Honeywell Turbo, HR Leader – Honeywell International, and Country HR Manager – UOP. Across these assignments, he contributed to strategic HR partnering, labor relations, organizational design, change management, and capability development for large sales and manufacturing ecosystems across India.
In the early years of his career, he worked with MaFoi as a Senior Consultant, Mphasis as a Unit Manager, and CES as HR Manager, building strong expertise across consulting, people operations, and workforce management.
Education
Jasmeet Bhatia holds an MBA in HR from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon.
