Holly, Michigan, United States, June 2024 – Jay Hutchins has been appointed as the new Vice President of Human Resources at Fessler & Bowman.
Jay Hutchins has been with Fessler & Bowman for over four years. Before his new role, he served as the Director of Human Resources for approximately four and a half years. In this position, Jay was instrumental in building the HR function from the ground up, focusing on performance management, compensation & benefits strategies, learning & development, and talent acquisition & management.
Prior to joining Fessler & Bowman, Jay was the Director of Human Resources at Faurecia for about two years. He managed the full employee lifecycle for 475 managers and professionals across multiple US sites, focusing on talent acquisition, immigration, performance management, and strategic planning.
Jay also held the role of Director Faurecia University at Faurecia for approximately three years, where he provided strategic leadership for an in-house talent development program serving over 4,500 employees across the US, Canada, and Mexico. He was responsible for increasing enrollment in training programs, managing a $4M training budget, and leading digital training initiatives.
In his earlier career, Jay held various roles at Faurecia, including Director of Marketing & Product Planning, Product Line Manager, and Senior Program Purchasing Manager. He also worked at Blackhawk Automotive Plastics as a Cost Estimator and at Yazaki North America as a Component Sales Analyst.
