Singapore, July 2026 — St Luke’s Hospital Singapore has announced the appointment of Jeethu Syriac as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective July 1, 2026. Having successfully led the hospital’s Human Resources function, he now transitions into a broader enterprise leadership role where he will oversee operational excellence, organisational performance, and the continued delivery of high-quality community healthcare services.
Jeethu’s appointment reflects a unique and progressive leadership journey spanning information technology, human resources, and healthcare operations. Throughout his career, he has consistently expanded beyond traditional functional boundaries, partnering closely with business leaders, shaping organisational strategy, and navigating complex operational challenges. His transition to Chief Operating Officer represents a natural evolution of a career built on integrating people, systems, and business outcomes to create meaningful organisational impact.
Prior to assuming the COO position, Jeethu served as Head of Human Resources at St Luke’s Hospital, following his earlier role as Assistant Director & Head of Human Resources. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening organisational culture, enhancing employee experience, and embedding data-driven people practices that contributed to the hospital’s recognition as a leading workplace. His leadership helped align talent strategy with organisational priorities while supporting the hospital’s mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centred care.
Before joining St Luke’s Hospital, Jeethu spent over six years as Head of Human Resources at Farrer Park Hospital, where he led strategic HR transformation initiatives across the healthcare organisation. Earlier, he served as Regional HR & Administration Manager for Fortis Healthcare Singapore, overseeing regional people operations, and held leadership positions at Polaris Consulting & Services, where he managed Asia Pacific operations after beginning his tenure in Corporate HR. His professional journey began in the technology sector as an Escalation Engineer at Convergys, providing him with a strong operational and systems foundation that has shaped his multidisciplinary leadership approach.
With more than two decades of experience spanning healthcare, technology, operations, and human resources, Jeethu brings a holistic leadership perspective that combines operational discipline, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to people and organisational excellence.
